Matthew 1:20

But while he (Joseph) thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.  And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”  So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with Us.”

Have you ever meditated on the fact that Joseph was given instructions about Mary and baby Jesus, through a dream?  What a beautiful example for us.

2 Tim 3:16-17

16 All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.

 May the example of Joseph receiving direction through a dream give us instruction on how we too may receive direction, by dreaming.  If this was the way Heavenly Father instructed the husband of the virgin Mary and the man who would help raise Jesus Christ, then it should be inspiring for us to also seek to understand our dreams.

One way angels speak today (and throughout scripture), is through dreams.  So during this Christmas Season, Watch Your Dream Life!  If you have strangers speaking to you in your dreams, then be aware that the stranger could be an angel with a message for you.

Matthew 2:12

Then, being divinely warned in a dream that they (wise men from the east) should not return to Herod, they departed for their own country another way.

I suggest that you read the Christmas Story in all the gospels and highlight every time a dream is mentioned. You will be encouraged, and inspired, to watch your dreams more closely and to see what kind of direction is being revealed to you.

You will be blessed as you keep dreams in the forefront of your life during this season.
