God speaks. He speaks a lot!  God speaks in many ways. He speaks the same things to many people. And, He even speaks in different ways to different people. He does all of that. He really does. He’s God.  It’s amazing. That doesn’t mean He speaks in any and every way you decide He can so that it fits your every whim and desire.  He’s not that kind of god. He is God. The one true God. He has a plumb line. He has boundaries and guidelines and warnings for us to make sure we are safe and cared for in the best ways. Within that special place of Truth and Love He talks to us, comforts us, encourages us, helps us.  He teaches us and grows us up because He wants us to be full, He wants us to be free – truly Free. When we hold to his teachings we are his disciples. Then what happens next is we will know the truth and the Truth sets you free.  Everyone starts as a slave to sin but when we believe by grace through faith in Jesus and his sacrifice we become sons and daughters of the one High King.  And when the Son sets you free – believe you/me – you WILL be free indeed. (John 8:31-36)

We are born to walk in freedom and fullness.  We are born to live here on earth AND dwell in heavenly places in order to bring heavenly things to the earth and make our world the Kingdom it was created to be.  We were born to create Kingdom Culture.  It is our birthright and it is our responsibility.  As I type this Psalm 139:6 is swirling in my head: Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain!  Then, just as quickly as my mind has this thought, God gently responds “look and see the bigger picture.”

You have enclosed me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me.  (verse 5)

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is too high, I cannot attain to it. (verse 6)

Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence?… (verse 7)

Whether we fully comprehend it or not, God has us in His grip. We cannot go away from or flee His presence ever. He is there.  Even in my thoughts He reminds me that He is there with me. He created me, He knows me and He is with me always.

Maybe you can’t hear God at all right now. Or maybe you’ve experienced a tug on you heart, a tug on your mind and you are not sure what to do with it. Maybe you hear God and see Him and are ready to build knowledge and confidence in knowing what is truly from Him.  Maybe your thoughts and feelings are flooded with the light and life of Jesus Christ on a daily minute by minute basis. All of these places are good. Wherever you are, talk to God and invite Him to speak to you and show you who He is.  Ask Him to speak to you in every way that He can.  Ask Him to give you the desire to dream dreams.  Ask Him to speak to you through your dreams and give you their meanings to find strategy for your life.  As you spend time with God He will show you how to hear Him.  He will give you dreams. He will show you who you are in Him and how to walk it out to bring heaven to earth. He will show you how to discern the good from the God. He will show you many things. He is faithful.

Eat this word and let it fill you and digest into a deeper hunger to know more. This is an exciting journey! Trust that God will give dreams and knowledge to you. Believe that you are created to know and overflow God’s glory to create a Kingdom culture in our world.   It is an exciting journey!
